Congress expected to have a clear edge in Karnataka according to exit polls
The Congress Party is anticipated to have a strong lead in Karnataka, with four exit polls giving it an outright majority and some projecting a hung legislature with a party advantage.
According to a few exit polls, the BJP is leading the race to establish the government. Exit polls issued after voting in Karnataka indicated that the Janata Dal-Secular JD(S) would not regain the 37 seats it gained in 2018, but would remain a key regional factor in the state.
If Karnataka has a hung assembly, the JD-S might become the kingmaker.

Karnataka saw a record 73 per cent turnout in assembly elections
In this year's elections, the state recorded an outstanding 73 per cent turnout. This was 2 per cent higher than the 2018 vote percentage (71.1 per cent).
According to the Election Commission, the turnout in Karnataka was 73 per cent, excluding postal ballots, until 9 p.m.
On May 10, it is thought that a considerable number of women and young people cast ballots.
However, voter participation in Bengaluru was poor, with just 54.8 per cent casting ballots in Bengaluru Urban, compared to 56 per cent in 2018.
