Even after not playing the game for a while now, former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni still has a global fan following.
During the ICC World Cup Semi-final clash against New Zealand on Wednesday the beloved cricketer and his wife Sakshi opted to visit his ancestral village in Uttarakhand. Sakshi shared a heartwarming picture of the couple against the scenic backdrop of Lwali village, situated in the Almora district of Uttarakhand. Captioning the post, she wrote, “Eventful day amongst all the Dhonis! Trust me there are many here.”
In the different photos, the couple can be seen seated at the entrance of a vibrant house in Lwali. Sakshi also showed fans a video that showcased the picturesque dwelling. Since being posted on 15 November, the image has garnered over 1 lakh likes and numerous comments.
Fans expressed their appreciation to Sakshi for sharing the picture, extending warm welcomes to the couple in Uttarakhand.

The last time Dhoni posted a video of himself was a video of him cutting his birthday cake surrounded by his pet dogs.
Having announced his retirement from all forms of international cricket in August 2020, MS Dhoni, culminated a remarkable 16-year career, steering the Indian cricket team to numerous historic victories.
He then made a triumphant return in this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) season, he led the Chennai Super Kings to a fifth title triumph. He recently shared a significant update regarding his potential participation in the 2024 edition of the IPL.
The CSK captain underwent surgery after clinching the title in the previous season and said that his knee is recovering well and he could be available to take part in the 2025 edition of the IPL.
