Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya's film not happening anymore, actor backed out because….
After multiple successful collaborations, Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya were coming together again for a film tentatively titled Prem Ki Shaadi. But a report by Midday says the actor has backed out of the film due to creative disagreements. It’s now being reported that Varun Dhawan or Ranveer Singh are the contenders for the role that was being essayed by Khan.
The source was quoted saying, “If you see the sort of star that Salman Khan is today and the director’s films, the two are poles apart in terms of their creative sensibilities. The script was their common ground, but over time, there were too many things they couldn’t agree on. So, it made sense for them to call it off amicably.”
It added, “The script will be tweaked, with the protagonist being aged down. Sooraj sir will initiate talks with younger stars. There is a certain innocence to the film, and he wants an actor who can reflect that. Varun Dhawan and Ranveer Singh are the frontrunners at the moment, and a decision will be made by next month.”
Salman Khan and Atlee
Salman Khan’s resurrection happened with the blockbuster success of Dabangg in 2010 that was directed by Abhinav Kashyap, with part two and part three being helmed by Arbaaz Khan and Prabhu Deva. Despite the commercial and critical failure of Dabangg 3, the makers are going ahead with part four and a report by Bollywood Hungama says it has a connection with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan director Atlee.
A source told the portal, “Atlee, Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan have discussed Dabangg spin-off to bring back the most iconic cop, Chulbul Pandey to the lives of people. It could be a co-production of Arbaaz Khan with Atlee and Salman Khan, however, Atlee might not direct the film.”
