Salman Khan Begins Shooting For ‘Sikandar’, First Look and Release Date Out
Actor Salman Khan shares big update on his movie Sikander. The film's shooting has started and will be released on Eid 2025.
Actor Salman Khan on Tuesday, June 19, kicked off the much-anticipated film Sikandar, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by AR Murugadoss. The film began shooting in Mumbai, where the team is working on an impressive mid-air action sequence featuring Salman Khan. To mark the commencement of this new venture, the superstar, along with Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, shared a behind-the-scenes image from the first day of the shoot on social media, signalling the start of an exciting journey. The team also confirmed an Eid 2025 release for this action-packed entertainer. As per the calendar, Eid al-Fitr in 2025 is expected to fall on 30th or 31st March, subject to the sighting of the moon. However, Salman’s first look from the film adds more excitement among fans.
Dressed in a pastel blue polo T-shirt, Salman sported shades and a light beard with a moustache. In the pic, Salman is seen checking out visuals on a monitor with director Murugadoss and producer Sajid Nadiadwala. “Salman is looking so young”, read a fan’s comment.
“Looking forward to #Eid2025 with team #Sikandar #SajidNadiadwala’s #SikandarDirected by @a.r.murugadoss Releasing in cinemas EID 2025,” Salman wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo with Nadiadwala and Murugadoss.
In March, Sajid Nadiadwala officially announced his largest collaboration to date with Salman Khan on Sikandar. Shortly after, Rashmika Mandanna was revealed as the female lead, making Sikandar a true Pan-India spectacle by bringing together talents from across the country.
Sikandar marks the reunion of Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala after their 2014 Eid blockbuster, “Kick.” The BTS picture shared on social media shows Salman, Sajid, and Murugadoss sharing a laugh on set, setting a positive tone for the schedule ahead.
Produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Sikandar is directed by AR Murugadoss and features Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. The action entertainer promises an unparalleled cinematic experience during the Eid 2025 weekend.
