Born in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, Abha comes from a humble background. Her father works as a farmer, while her mother takes care of the household. From a young age, Abha showed promise in the arts. She pursued her passion for painting alongside her studies. After clearing the NIFT examination with an impressive 9th rank nationwide, Abha secured admission to NIFT Mumbai, where she honed her creative talents.
While in college, Abha Ranta ventured into the world of modeling and was crowned Miss Navi Mumbai in 2018. However, her true calling lay in acting, and she soon made the transition to pursue her dreams in the world of cinema.
Abha’s breakthrough came with her role as young Mallika in Heeramandi, a prestigious project by renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Interestingly, Abha’s sister, Pratibha Ranta, also had a role in the series. Pratibha is also making headlines for her good work in Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies.
